Amen. That article pissed me off because it makes inflammatory statements
saying people who don't have the same preference are unreasonable,
irresponsible, and even "brain-dead". >:( The author's "Principle of Least
Work" argument is completely invalid because it's a lot more work to edit
the "To" and "CC" fields to actually reply only to the list. The only valid
argument I see in this article is that replying to the author of a list
message becomes difficult. Some lists are a "group CC" environment where
direct person-to-person communication is more common. Others are
"communicate through the list". IMHO this list is the latter and would be
best served by reply-to munging.

It's a matter of taste. The author is accustomed to replying to all and
doesn't mind getting 1++ replies to his posts. I do. Perhaps if the list
moderator(s) find a majority of subscribers have the same preference I do,
they will change it.
