But at least it works partly.
Without r24102, the diff doesn't work at all.

I don't know what version of Office you have, but with a vanilla install
of Office2010 it fails.
To test that, create an empty Excel file, add "test" and "test2" into
the first two cells, save. Then change "test2" to "test3" and save. Now
diff those two files and you'll get the error.
