Oddly the N-1 thing hasn't bitten me yet, although I am admittedly quite
new to SVN.

As long as you think of each revision number as being a state and the
movement between two revisions as being the action it actually makes
perfect sense. Then you stop thinking about applying revision X and start
thinking about applying the action that took you from revision X-1 to
revision X.

Does this make sense to anyone or am I just rambling?
