We have an open issue in our tracker about this scenario. I think when
using javaHL you get a more serious error. I would recommend following the
example we have for this in the Eclipse help which is basically this:

1) Do a checkout into some folder.

2) Create an Eclipse workspace

3) Use Eclipse File -> Import to import existing projects into workspace.
This just points the workspace at the checkouts. WIth Eclipse 3.1, they
should even auto-share into Eclipse.

This method is what I and others use. It does not have this problem and
has an added benefit of letting you have non-Subclipse projects in your
workspace without causing Subversion problems.

Finally, with the latest versions of Subclipse and JavaSVN as your adapter,
we can do atomic commits across projects even if they are not checked out
in a "master workspace".
