Yes, it will break every pre-revprop-change hook script. That doesn't
mean it's not the right change to make at the proper time.

That is why there are major revision numbers - to fix design issues and
make changes which are not backwards compatible. Hacks only work for so
long before they start incurring negative gains.

Making a mental note for 2.0 or 1.4 whichever is most applicable.
