In those cases problems often occurs because those sign are
interpreted by the shell and not directly a problem for Subversion.
Therefore you should provide some more details about who exactly you
are committing, Shell vs. TortoiseSVN or any other app for example,
the specific commands and folder names you use, the errors you get and
of course what you mean by "never experienced before", e.g. did
commits with the same commands or whatever ever worked on the same
folders etc.
