The OP (hey, that's me!) has no way to impose Linux to the IT
Department. I have convinced the OP's boss, who is trying to
convince his own boss, who perhaps will try to convince his peer
in the IT Department...

In the meantime, I have tried:

> svn update IT_Department --revision Open-to-Linux

to no avail...
