No, you got me wrong: I tried SVN 1.5.4 with Apache 2.0 over HTTP
(i.e. used SVN 1.5.4 for both server and client) and it did not work.
But SVN 1.5.4 with svnserve and SVN 1.5.4 with file:// protocol worked.
