Apache named virtual hosts and mod_dav_svn

Hi all,

browsing on the programming related site stackoverflow.com, I stumbled
on this thread:

http://stackoverflow.com/questions/264676?sort=oldest#sort-top

As you can read in that, it seems that enabling mod_dav_svn in the
root directory inside a named virtual host under Apache does not work.
Is this true or in the thread I missed some steps?
If is true, there is any workaround for this issue?

Thanks,
