How to get rid of svn: (Valif UTF-8 data (hex:) followed by invalid UTF-8 sequence (hex: c0 a4 01)

Help,

Since shortly I retrieve the error svn: (Valid UTF-8 data (hex:) followed by invalid UTF-8 sequence (hex: c0 a4 01) when I perform action on my subversion repositories. The error popped-up when I added a new project to my repository and until now I've been unsuccessful in removing this message. I tried removing the added project from the repository with no luck, then I followed the instructions in the svnadmin handbook by rebuilding the repository from a dump file, using svnfilter to remove the malicious project, with no luck either. I even get these errors now when I use my other non-related repositories in the same basedir ?????, which I didn't touch during this exercise. I used both tortoisesvn and smartsvn on my repositories to check whether the problem is client related, however both clients report the same error, leaving me with a number of fucked-up repositories !

Is there any way of getting rid of this error ?

regards Eric
