Subversion 1.5's release is imminent (currently at release candidate
5). Sure you don't want to wait?

The release notes are very informative.
http://subversion.tigris.org/svn_1.4_releasenotes.html You can just
overlay the binaries, but you may want to perform a dump/load cycle to
take advantage of the improved diff algorithm introduced in 1.4
(whether you go with 1.4 or wait for 1.5).
