I am familiar with Cygwin, and you're wrong in the claim above. Cygwin
programs can certainly run in the standard Windows command line. They
may get confused if given paths in standard Windows format, but there's
the cygpath program to convert back and forth.

Windows programs can also run in the Cygwin shell, but again you may run
into problems with pathname conventions. There is no problem running
the standard Windows svn client in a Cygwin shell, which is all he needs
to do. I do it all the time.

Jamie is SOL. Although that bug should be an easy fix,

until then Cygwin's svn client is essentially unusable so this is a
valid complaint. Are there any work arounds?
