SlickEdit synchronization issues

I am having issues trying to synch SlickEdit with my repository that I have
set up with SVN. Does SlickEdit allow you to use it as an interface for SVN
w/o actually having SVN installed on THAT machine. I thought I could
connect to the machine that has the database AND the SVN executable, but
maybe I'm wrong....
