Just tried on my workstation test repository here at work (same versions as
I have at home, also using TSVN - only difference is my home server is
Linux, my workstation here is XP Pro).

I was able to create a d: directory, then a "test" directory under it. I
was NOT, however, able to create one named "\test2", nor "d:\test"

I was *not* able to check out the d: directory when checking out its parent
from my repository.
