Maybe you can use one of the static builds, that someone else has built.
If memory serves me they have been announced a couple of times on either
  the user or dev list, so you might want to check them first, e.g.
   http://svn.haxx.se/dev/archive-2005-01/0368.shtml

We have used these builds successfully before, but IIRC they are not
updated to the latest release version, so your mileage may vary.
