Post-lock hooks script

Hi,

I've two question about hooks script.

        I want to make post-lock (and post-unlock) script working.
        How can I do that ?

        And more important : When I try to do that, and when the script
        don't work how can (or where) I find the log of the script ? I've
        just a message when I try to lock some file like

                svn: Lock succeeded, but post-lock hook failed

        But I don't know if it's my script, my mailer.conf etc...
