I would like to hear if you could make something from this.

Another approach could be to interact with the repository using a webdav
client, but I'm not sure if it gives you all the features you need, i.e.
sending logs with your commits.

I believe the subversion folks are not willing to accept any patches
that don't fit into their principles and I don't think they are willing
to deviate from their principles.
