Oh, I don't think we're terribly rigid about things. But we do like
to have discussions before adding features that could lead to
unexpected lossage for users under some circumstances.
In the followups to the above-referenced mails, Max Bowsher does not
veto adding such a feature to Subversion, he merely expresses why we
have concerns about it.
