Ah, but what if I want multiple labels to be able to refer to the
same revision.

e.g. If MyProduct_RC2 is promoted to MyProduct_Release and they are
both built from r1234, I don't want to "forget" the fact that RC2 was
r1234. That isn't a problem with tags of course.. but I'm supposed
to be arguing *for* labels so I'll shut up now :).
