svn: Unknown FS type 'bdb'

From: Chris Bruner <cbruner_at_compulife.com>

I'm on a gentoo system, and I updated my system for the first time in a long
time. Now of course things are broken. The worst one is subversion (which is
the main purpose of this server!)

If I try to use subversion either locally or through the web I get
svn: Unknown FS type 'bdb'

I've no idea where this is coming from, as I don't think I've updated the
berkley database (and it was working before).

I'm running apache2, which might have been updated, but in looking at the
/etc/apache2/conf/modules.d directory there is 47_mod_dav_svn.conf there (as
well as others).

I'm stuck. Does anyone know where it's become unconfigured?

Thanks,

Chris Bruner
