SVN on Linux, hot-backup to AS/400 over samba

Hello,

I'm experiencing a very strange problem when I attempt to hot-backup my
repositories, which are on Mandrake Linux, to an AS/400 directory
mounted as a samba file system. I'm not sure if it's samba or the
hot-backup command itself, so I wanted to try here first before digging
more into samba.

Then I run the hot-backup command on one of my repositories, I loose
the samba mount to the AS/400 where I want to hot-backup to go. When I
say "loose" I mean that I can no longer access the mount point to the
AS/400. Each time I attempt to access it, I get an I/O error. The only
way to clear this up, is to actually reboot the linux box.

Has anyone else possibly run into this situation?

Regards,

-Jeff
