Hey,

It would seem that the fink package is not compiled with SSL for you.
Your not the first to experience this problem, see
http://rollerweblogger.org/page/roller/20040718 for more details and
maybe some tips on how to overcome this problem.

The page mentioned above also links though to some statically linked
binaries at http://homepage.mac.com/martinott/ which you may find
useful.

If all else fails, it looks like you may have to compile from source,
which is probably better for your system anyway.
