localization issue

Hi folks,

I am new to Subversion and am facing a localization issue.
I am running version 1.1.1 with WinXP and my system's locale is pt_BR.
When I run svn it is not displaying some characters such as ã, õ and ç.

Thus I have two questions:
- How can I fix this problem?
- Is there a way to avoid localized messages without changing my
Windows configuration? I'd rather stick to english messages in
Subversion.
