Tried all of that. Setting "more" than LC_CTYPE will make perl complain again,
and, in fact, there are only definitions for LC_CTYPE on NetBSD.
Ignoring perl's complaints, neither of your suggested settings will stop
svnlook from choking on the first non-ascii character.

Sigh!

Perhaps you should be setting the LANG variable or LC_ALL instead?
