RE: Creating complex tag with mixed revisions fails

Hi Mike,

My server version is also 1.0.2 (r9423). We compiled it on SuSE Linux 9.0
and also tested with Gentoo linux where the software had been "emerged"
automatically.

It's good news that it c a n work if you do it right...

I just tested again with a very simple example without subdirectories in the
project and backdated a single file. And hey! The copy into the tags
directory worked this time!

But afterwards I created another subdirectory with some files inside the
project directory, changed there a bit, commited the changes and backdate a
file in this subdirectory. When I then tried to make a copy of this slightly
more complex structure I got again the "out of date" error message.

Working copy:

project /file1
                /subdir/ file2
                                file3 <-- backdated this file

So the question is: Am I really to stupid to do it right or has it maybe
something to do with the directory structure.

Regards

Jens

Not that it's much help, but I went through the same steps you did
(update, backdate a file, then try to copy to /tags), and everything
worked fine. That was also with a 1.0.2 client (r9423) from the Debian
subversion package, and 1.0.0 server (compiled from source). What is
your server version?
