File not found: transaction 'x', path /X/Y/Z

Hi,

Background:
Subversion newbie. Using Tortoise SVN (installed using latest 1.0.3 .msi
file). Windoze 2000. I have cygwin installed and am running svnserver on a
repository on my local drive for several other engineers - we are just
starting a prototyping effort and decided to use Subversion. This repository
is in c:/repository and is a different repository to the one I have been
experimenting with and am getting the following error upon.

Problem:
I created a repository in the root of my C drive
(c:/TortoiseVersionControl). Then created a "project" directory using the
recommended names i.e. trunk, branches, tags such that it looks like this:

file:///C:/TortoiseVersionControl/swimming/trunk
                                          /branches
                                          /tags

I then performed a checkout (from 'trunk' and into c:/tmp/swimming) and
added some sub-directories like so (each add followed by commit):

c:/tmp/swimming/data/meet_data
                    /child_data

I copied my source files into the root of the swimming directory, 'added'
and then 'commited' those files without any problems.

I then added some files at the /data level and attempted to add and commit
one of them - I received the following error dialog (on the commit):

Commit failed(details following):
File not found: transaction '9', path /swimming/data/Records

Where the file 'Records' is the file (no extension) that I am attempting to
add and commit.

This is not the first time this has occured, each time I have "zero'd"
everything and started again in the hopes that it was something else I had
done to cause the problem i.e. in previous 'experiments' I have tried
setting up ignore rules for the contents of these sub-directories etc and
thought I had done it badly or something.

Any help would be appreciated :-)

Peter
