Oh, wow! I can't count the number of times I said that myself, only to
be proven wrong... :-)

We have a choice of making this change (and taking the risk of not
having enough time before 1.0 to shake out all the nonobvious bugs), or
waiting until after 1.0. At this point, that's not even a choice.

And that exactly is the point -- nobody will find enough time before 1.0.

Really, if your simple solution is really the right one, then it can go
into 1.0.1 with no change to the WC schema, right?

And if it's _not_ right...
