Well, my understanding is that the /current/ version of Subversion is
still considered alpha, at least officially. I didn't realize that my
versions were quite that old. As you could see, the build dates shown
by SuSE were less than six months old.

According to the Web site, Subversion has been successfully running in
production environments for more than a year. If the kind of problems
I'm having getting started with it have only been fixed recently, that
doesn't speak well for the alleged track record.

I thought I'd been clear that I wasn't asking to fix a bug, just a bit
of advice on getting started. If my configuration of Apache is wrong,
for example, I guess I don't have a chance of finding out for quite a
while, until I have a newer Svn. Thanks a lot.

I'll go ahead an upgrade soon. I guess I'll have to do it from source
- not an obsticle, just an annoyance - since I haven't found any RPMs
for SuSE much more recent than what was included with 8.2.
