    No one is trying to be rude or dismissive. It's just that you're working
with a version after which there have been 28 more releases (see
http://subversion.tigris.org/servlets/ProjectNewsList). You're asking people
to unravel 28 versions worth of syntax changes and bug fixes to try to
answer your problem.

    As a courtesy to the fact that most people on this list are volunteering
their time, you should try to work with the latest version and make sure
that you've first sought out answers in the Subversion book and the FAQ.

    I'm new to Subversion myself and have found people on this list to be
very responsive and helpful, even when I haven't RTFM myself!
