TortoiseSVN hangs in windows8.1

After i updated my windows version from 8.0 to 8.1 my TortoiseSVN(TortoiseSVN 1.8.7, Build 25475 - 64 Bit , 2014/05/05 20:52:12) hangs 5 out of 10 times in its current action like updating, committing or viewing logs. It just keeps on loading the action. The only way to stop is to click Cancel or force the program to stop. Trying that 1 or 2 times and than suddenly it works as charme.

It all started after i update my windows. Before that i never experience anything wrong with the program.
PC Loads etc. are all in good balance while the problem exists.
