Sorry, but I've set up a test environment like this, and I don't get any
authentication popups, i.e. it works fine for me here.
Please check that *all* the svn:externals properties point to
repositories that you have read access to. Maybe you got an external set
up that doesn't exist anymore or is otherwise malformed?
Also, what's the layout in the repository exactly? Is the 'top folder'
in the same repository? At what url?
