Indeed the following version *fixes* the issue on my end:
TortoiseSVN 1.8.99, Build 24951 - 64 Bit -dev, 2013/11/13 19:36:32
In order to verify, I installed that nightly, saw that the problem is
gone, installed the previous nightly, verified that the problem
reappears and then installed the current nightly again to verify that it
is again fixed. I checked the "Show Log" window and the "Repository
Browser" window. I also checked with Aero enabled on Win7 to verfiy that
there is no regression.
So it's looking good to me.
