I've uploaded a new build for the 1.7.x branch (the stable branch, those
build become the next release):
http://nightlybuilds.tortoisesvn.net/1.7.x/

Can you all please try this one and see if that fixes the issue? Since I
can't reproduce the problem here on my machine, I need you to test this
and see if the issue is fixed.

Some more things to look at:
* did you install the crash reporter as well when you installed TSVN?
It's optional now in 1.7.8 so it could be that you disabled it from
being installed.
* If you still get crashes with the nightly build, delete the
crshhndl.dll in the TSVN installation directory (usually c:\program
files\TortoiseSVN\bin) and see if that helps.
