It could have been caused by your IDE (if you're using one). Since you use
svn < 1.7 and your IDE may have renamed/moved/copied a directory for you,
the ".svn" meta-folder may have been moved along with its parent directory.

Normally such an operation would require a "svn move" so that SVN can keep
track of the change but your IDE probably won't do so.
