Diff show files that have no changes

Hi!

Recently I did a Show log on a folder in WC and then in the "Log Messages" window I
selected two revisions and did a "Compare revisions".

It gave a list of changed files, but some of them that were listed as "Action: Modified"
were not changed really. They had the same content, verified by doubleclicking them
to get the TortoiseMerge window showing (the absence of) changes.

Is this because the files were changed and then later changed again back to previous contents?

If I do a "Show differences as unified diff", the thos files are not present in the output.

Is there a way to have the GUI display, but without the files that have the same content?

Using 1.6.16 on Windows XP.
