With two exceptions, all my 32-bit applications work well on 64-bit Windows 7.
Maybe it is obvious to you but not to me and several I asked!! In any case, all it takes is a sentence.

I certainly did--listed several points that can be provided in the download area.

The flaring up was done by the other two. I was not criticising the implementation or the design choices but pointing out the lack of installation information.

I am sorry--I was under the impression that feedback was also contributing.

Why are people so touchy about this point? I just cannot figure it out. It took me several hours to figure out what I wrote in my previous post and it could easily have been avoided.

This is getting sillier and sillier. I hear stuff like "the combined installer is too large to download for most users," and "why should the 32 vs. 64-bit Explorer discussion fall anywhere but on the shoulders of Microsoft."

Microsoft made some choices in mixing 32-bits and 64-bits. TSVN made other choices, constrained by Microsoft's choices. I have no problem with either set of choices.

All I would like to know is the impact of these choices on what I need to do. Just because Microsoft did not publicize that Explorer in 64-bit Windows is a 64-bit application does not imply that TVSN should not inform its users!! That I am not a founding member of TVSN does not imply that I cannot say so.

The solution is simple and I am certain people here know it. What I do not know is why it is not implemented.

Solution:
1. Provide a 32-bit installer
2. Provide a 64-bit installer
3. Provide a combined 32-bit and 64-bit installer

1 should be downloaded by users of 32-bit Windows.
2 should be downloaded by users of 64-bit Windows and ONLY 64-bit application.
3 should be downloaded by most users of 64-bit Windows.

A link can be provided to a more detailed discussion of the reasons behind the above recommendations.

This is my last post on this topic and I am not going to spend any more time on this. So the field is open to all you guys.
