Of course its the solution - or you just standardize on one tool. If
you don't do this you are simply asking for problems. The OP just
needs to talk with the group of people at his company that is in
charge of installing software. Point out the problems encountered
when the various utilities they use are built against different
versions of the subversion libraries.
It's really not that hard.
Granted, when you don't understand the behavior in the first place,
it's confusing. All subversion clients are subject to this problem.
The OP obviously didn't understand this. I'm sure he does now.
