Yes - I only elevated privileges to see if that fixed it. It didn't. I'm happy to drop that if you think I should. I can't imagine it making any difference though.

I just tried another test. On a different drive J: on the same Novell network I did SVN Checkout of a different repository.

After 26kb - which was a small part of the directory tree and two files - the process stopped with exactly the same error.

"Can't remove file 'J:\jgb\clients\Spectrum Transport\.svn\log': Access is denied."

I just navigated there and was able to manually delete the log file via Explorer.

I did the checkout to the Win 7 desktop and it transferred 1.47MBytes and finished without error.

Still stumped
