RE: Explorer Crashes When Right-Clicking a Folder

Hi

You did not mention the OS you are using, Win XP sp?, x32, x64, Win 7 etc?

I know there was a bug in XP for right clicks; MS had incorporated a patch to grap the CLI spawns and didn't bother to check that all the modules were present. So the system just hung or crashed. I experienced this many times, but I was using PowerDesk. I finally dropped PowerDesk totally and went to XYPloyer instead. However the PowerDesk fix might still work for you even though you don't use PowerDesk, or it may be enough at least to allow you to find the KB fix to work around the problem. I know what you mean about this problem being frustrating, I spent more time trying to get Windows to work then I was doing on the work I was supposed to get done. Win 7 x64 seems to have fixed all this, at least I haven't had the same problems as with XP.

Also you do know that 1.6.8 is the latest approved version you should be using?

Good luck
