Central Repository Modification

Hi,

I am using TortoiseSVN client to access a SVN repository which is located on another machine. The machines belong to a secure LAN. I am using ‘svnserve’ on my server machine for authentication and delegation.

Recently, I checked out a working copy onto my personal PC. At the same time, my colleague also checked out the same files on his PC. He started modifying the files after checking out. After modifying, he committed his changes and we both left for the day.

Next day when I logged into my PC, I see the local checkout that I have in my PC with the green tick icon overlay. My query here is, this icon is supposed to change to bring to my notice that the contents of my local copy are changed in the central repository isn’t it? Or is this an unsupported feature of Tortoise SVN?

I am confused because I couldn’t find more details in the user guide. If this feature is present in Tortoise SVN, can you please let me know why I am not able to see the icon overlay properly?
