Question: The Repository Browser asks 3 times while opening, but
further activities (unfolding the branches, refreshing) do not require
re-entering the password.

How is that achieved? Is it possible to implement opening the dialog
in the same way?

Do not know, but may be there are some pools that are
being reused while browsing, but not while initializing the dialog?

Best regards,
