Concurrent installations of 1.4.5 & 1.4.99

Hi,

I was wondering if it is possible to have two concurrent installations
of official release 1.4.5 and nightly build 1.4.99. I need to keep
1.4.5 around for work, however at the same time I wanted to sample the
features introduced in the latest nightly build.

Is this recommended or no? I'm concerned about how this conflicts with
context menu items and other OS integration features such as icon
overlays, etc.
