On which revision of the danish translation did you run msgfmt --check?
Are you 100% sure that you haven't touched anything else when you fixed
the two? When I run msgfmt on a fresh revision 9962 from the repository,
I get only the two errors.
msgfmt --check Tortoise_da-9962.po
Tortoise_da-9962.po:2314: number of format specifications in 'msgid' and
'msgstr' does not match
Tortoise_da-9962.po:2324: number of format specifications in 'msgid' and
'msgstr' does not match
msgfmt: found 2 fatal errors

that is perfectly ok, nothing wrong there.
Which version of msgfmt are you running? Mine claims to be 0.14.1. If
yours is significantly older, an update might be a good idea.
If you msgfmt is up to date. Can you still reproduce the error message
with your file, because I can't? If yes, please e-mail this file to: "l
dot onken at gmail dot com". I'd like to check if I can see a difference.
