I did, without any problems as far as I can see. Installing TSVN went
well after installing the Windows Installer, and I haven't had any
problems installing any software since. It also didn't cause any other
problems that I know of.

Though I agree with the other posters: install SP2 unless you have good
reasons not to. In my case the reason is that my laptop's touchpad and
keyboard stop working if I install SP2 (very strange, since I had it
working before I had to reinstall Windows because I installed a new hard
drive. Acer support says they know about it, but there's nothing anyone
can do. Very annoying. Synaptics support doesn't even respond to my
support ticket).
