Incompatibility with Synchronize It! 2.82

Using TortoiseSVN 1.2.6, Build 4786 - 32 Bit/Subversion 1.2.3, I find that if I copy a repository with Synchronize It!, the copied repository can be checked out from, but not committed back to, errors such as this resulting:

 Error: Commit failed (details follow):
 Error: Can't create directory 'f:\Subversion
Error: Repositories\Bibliographies\db\transactions\3-1.txn': The system cannot find
 Error: the path specified.

The broken repository can be fixed by dumping and then loading with svnadmin, but it would still be interesting to know what the actual problem was.  I thought it might be some date-mangling that Synchronize It! does (creation date winds up after modified date), but making the dates sensible with filetweak doesn't fix the problem.

Since Synchronize It! seems to be a reasonably popular program for shifting files around, and might find its way into people's backing up routines, it would be interesting to know what's going wrong here, I think.
