Commit dialog & externals (Suggestion)

Okay so there's a "Show externals from different repositories" checkbox in
the Commit dialog, however I also want to be able to hide externals from the
*same* repository. Is there a reason why this is not supported? I think a
great idea would be to make the "groups" collapsible. For example, there's a
group "root project" for files under the project I invoked commit on, and
another group for "(externals) boost" for my external link to boost (same
repository). Being able to collapse/expand these as branches would be good.
If not that, a checkbox would be great too.
