Maybe it was the same person that translated the Subversion and the TortoiseSVN messages? Or one took the convention from the other translation (whichever was first) :)

- From your explanation above I'd make the switch and use "rewizja". I'm constantly reviewing the German translation and I try fix inconsistencies or odd/old wordings. You could also contact the polish subversion translators and discuss the issue with them.
