Log messages not updated in cache after editing

What I did:
1) Create a commit with message "Old message"
2) Display it in "Show log" dialog
3) Edit log message via context menu item to "New message"
4) Press F5 or "Refresh" button

What happened:
After step 3 commit list correctly displayed "New message".
However, after step 4 it reverts to "Old message" again.

I have already reported this in an unrelated thread, so the report was
probably lost in the noise.
