*Sigh*

I just tried the js merge script for the first time and the merge()
method fails on office 2000 with a cryptic "Command failed" error (code
800A1066). The original vbs script fails, too.
No problems with office 2003.

Maybe there's something bad with my office installation; I'll try again
with my home pc.
