Sounds like you need a holiday ;)

When updates *have* been applied, it still shows the original entry, ie:

My WC is on r404
Update (updated to r405)
Show log.
405 and 404 shown

Maybe I'm dumb, but to me that suggests 404 has been applied as part of the
update...?
